Introduction to 317L Stainless Steel:

317L stainless steel is an austenitic stainless steel containing molybdenum. Compared with conventional chromium nickel austenitic stainless steel (such as alloy 304), 317L has better resistance to chemical corrosion. This alloy contains high levels of molybdenum and nitrogen, and the combination of molybdenum and nitrogen helps to improve pitting and crevice corrosion resistance, especially in high-temperature environments containing acidic compounds, chlorides, and sulfides. The "L" grade of 317L indicates that it is a low-carbon grade, which helps to provide anti sensitization during welding and other heat treatment processes.

These components give 317L stainless steel excellent corrosion resistance, making it particularly suitable for use in strong acid, strong alkali, and high temperature environments.

In addition, 317L stainless steel also has good intergranular corrosion resistance and is widely used in components such as butterfly valve shafts and butterfly valve bushings.
