Introduction to Hastelloy C22
HC22 alloy, also known as Hastelloy C-22 alloy, is a nickel chromium molybdenum tungsten alloy engineered for superior corrosion resistance in both oxidizing and reducing chemical environments. Its high molybdenum and chromium content provides exceptional resistance to chloride ion erosion, while tungsten enhances overall corrosion resistance.
This alloy is among the few materials capable of withstanding:
- Moisture, hypochlorite, and chlorine dioxide solution corrosion
- High concentration chloride solutions
