Material Overview

CD4MCu is a high-performance cast duplex stainless steel (0Cr26Ni5Mo2Cu3) with a nominally 26Cr-6Ni alloy composition (C≤0.04) enhanced with molybdenum and copper. This material features a two-phase structure in the cast state, consisting of austenite distributed in a ferrite matrix.

Heat Treatment Process

The solution treatment temperature for CD4MCu is 1120℃, maintained for at least two hours to ensure uniform temperature, followed by slow cooling to 1010-1065℃ with a half-hour hold before quenching. This process results in a structure containing 35-40% austenite in the ferrite matrix.
