904L (N08904, 1.4539) super austenitic stainless steel contains 14.0-18.0% chromium, 24.0-26.0% nickel, and 4.5% molybdenum. This low-carbon, high-nickel, molybdenum austenitic stainless acid-resistant steel offers exceptional performance in corrosive environments.
904L stainless steel features a completely austenitic structure with low sensitivity to ferrite and α phase precipitation. The ultra-low carbon content (max 0.020%) eliminates carbide precipitation during heat treatment and welding, preventing intergranular corrosion.
